About KIS

 Kappa Iota Sigma Sorority was founded on July 18, 2014, in San Jose, California at the 5th Biennial Tau Kappa Phi Conclave. Founded by Gem Blue Kave/Angelo Moore, Gem Blue Torch/Unique Wilson and Gem Blue Serenity/De' Staten of Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity Incorporated, Kappa Iota Sigma was created to provide a unified platform for individual transformation and growth through sisterhood, scholarship, service, leadership, cooperation, culture and patience. The foundation of the organization solicits the societal awareness of the transgendered woman and the overall empowerment of the LGBT community.
